Discover the amazing nature of the Bocas del Toro archipelago

DESCRIPTION

day 1
Shortly after our arrival at Bocas del Toro's airport we shall board in a local “water taxi” (a motorboat !)...
After a short navigation we shall reach the continent, where a vehicle is waiting for us. We shall drive to Valle Risco.
From Valle Risco we shall hike during about 8 miles in the middle of a vegetation of an incredible exhuberance ( Bocas del Toro gets more than 5 meters of rain a year,it explains a lot ! )..
Eventually we shall arrive to “ojo de agua” where another vehicle will take us to Changuinola.
We shall spend the night in a little hotel in the town.
day 2
We shall start our kayak journey early.
During our navigation we shall cross a large laguna that is the home of thousands of birds .It is also a refuge of the rare and elusive manatee..
After passing the river Changuinola we shall follow quietly the “Snyder canal” then enjoy a well deserved picnic near the large desert beach of Changuinola.
It will take us 4 or 5 hours of paddling in the afternoon to reach the gorgeous Boca del Drago beach.
We shall have dinner in a typical local seafood restaurant and spend the night in a simple but confortable little hotel.
day 3
We shall come back to Bocas Del Toro paddling in the caribbean sea, along the thick mangrove.
After a rest in Punta Caracol where we shall visit one of the most beautiful hotels in the caribbean we shall resume our navigation to reach Bocas del Toro around 13h00.
A good lunch will precede our departure by plane back to Panama city.
